Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Head of New Business Sales to empower and enable our Team Leaders to spend more time in the field with their teams, driving performance and accelerating the growth of new business revenue. This role plays a critical part in the execution of our go-to-market strategy, refining our sales reporting processes, delivering actionable insights, and ultimately delivering our ambitious growth targets.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and business development expertise with excellent communication and influencing skills. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seamlessly blending field engagement with strategic responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 4 PCE Team Leaders, cultivating a high-performance culture aligned with company values and business objectives.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to Team Leaders, supporting their professional growth and succession planning.
- Set clear expectations and measurable goals for Team Leaders, holding accountability for individual and team performance.
- Maintain and update weekly business sales updates for the wider network, highlighting key activities, wins, and areas of focus.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor, analyse, and review Team Leaders’ KPIs and team sales pipeline metrics, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution across all regions, identifying gaps, and proposing targeted solutions.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and pipeline sessions with each Team Leader and PCE’s, identifying strengths, development areas, and targeted improvement actions.
- Ensure discipline in CRM and sales process adoption, driving compliance and high-quality data across your teams.
Field Support & Best Practice Sharing
- Empower Team Leaders to spend significant time in the field, supporting their direct reports and driving continuous sales improvement through real-time coaching.
- Play an active part put in the field, coaching and developing the PCE community where fit.
- Champion the adoption of sales mastery tools, processes, and strategic initiatives through Team Leaders, ensuring alignment and speed of execution.
- Drive the delivery of training programs to equip field sales teams with the right tools, skills, and knowledge to execute business development strategies effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the central liaison between Team Leaders and other business functions (Marketing, Service, Key Accounts, Customer Support), promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Integrate feedback and market intelligence from Team Leaders into broader go-to-market strategies.
Talent Management & Succession Planning
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new Team Leaders and PCE’s in line with company standards and growth plans.
- Identify and develop high-potential talent within the PCE community, building a strong leadership pipeline for future growth.
Customer & Culture Champion
- Embed a customer-first, ethical, and compliance-focused culture through your Team Leaders and their respective teams.
- Act as an ambassador for company values, fostering a positive, energetic, and results-driven environment.
Reporting & CRM Management
- Refine and manage CRM controls to ensure structural accuracy and consistency in sales reporting.
- Collaborate with data analysts to validate the accuracy of local and national reporting outputs.
- Track sales projects and initiatives, providing benefit analysis and progress updates to key stakeholders.
Experience & Competencies

- Proven experience in a sales operation, business development, or sales enablement role.
- Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience working with CRM systems (desirable MS Dynamics 365).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and influence across multiple levels.
- Proactive problem-solver with a flexible working style.
- High attention to detail and ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Package:
- £65,000 – £70,000 OTE £100,000 uncapped.
- £5,200 per year car allowance or company car.
