Brentford hybrid| Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations | Finance | Global transformation

At Safetykleen, we help some of the world’s most critical industries operate more safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Across 15 countries, more than 2,000 colleagues and over 1 million services delivered each year, we provide essential parts cleaning, waste collection and environmental advisory services that help customers reduce environmental impact and improve operational performance.

We have recently completed a business-transformational ERP migration and are now entering an exciting new chapter.

We are building a high-performing technology team that will partner closely with the business to deliver scalable, integrated business capability across Dynamics 365, the Power Platform and emerging technologies.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior F&O Lead Consultant to lead how Safetykleen develops, improves and gets the very best from its Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform, following the successful completion of our ERP migration.

This is a pro-active, business-facing lead role that goes beyond traditional consultant scope - you'll bring genuine functional depth and the seniority to own decisions, not just implement them.

You will act as a true business partner across Finance and Operations, working in the interest of the business to make sure the platform serves real commercial and operational needs.

You'll sit close to stakeholders, end users, super users, technology teams and D365 partners, turning business challenges into clear requirements, practical solutions and better ways of working - while working alongside the Enterprise Director, who owns solution architecture across CE&FO, to help shape the platform itself around what the business actually needs.

You will support improvements across Dynamics 365 F&O, with particular depth in Finance (our strongest area of focus following the migration), helping the business standardise processes, improve adoption and use the platform in a smarter, more consistent and scalable way across our 15 countries.

This is a strong opportunity to join a global business investing properly in systems, process, data and digital capability.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Act as the senior functional authority for Dynamics 365 Finance, and a key link between business stakeholders, end users, super users, technology teams and external D365 partners.
  • Work alongside the Enterprise Platform leadership to help shape the F&O roadmap around genuine business needs.
  • Own functional design decisions across Finance, and support Supply Chain & Operations, gathering, challenging and documenting requirements - bringing functional expertise to shape solutions, not just capture them.
  • Lead post-migration stabilisation and continuous improvement across core Finance processes: general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, intercompany and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Support Supply Chain and Operations processes including procurement, inventory and warehousing where they intersect with Finance.
  • Translate process gaps, user feedback and business pain points into practical system and process improvements across multiple countries and legal entities.
  • Support UAT, user groups and feedback forums to shape enhancements and improve adoption.
  • Work with third-party partners and vendors to maintain, improve and enhance service delivery.
  • Provide senior functional support and mentoring to business users and colleagues across the Technology team.
  • Produce user stories, process guidance, knowledge articles and best-practice documentation.
  • Analyse trends in system issues to identify root causes, reduce repeat problems and improve the user experience.
  • Support incident, problem and change management activity within an ITIL environment.
  • Contribute to global project delivery, multi-country rollouts and wider technology transformation.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a credible, commercially minded Senior F&O Lead Consultant with strong Dynamics 365 Finance functional expertise and the confidence to operate as a genuine business partner and senior voice across business and technology teams.

You will bring

  • Strong functional expertise in Dynamics 365 F&O, with core expertise in Finance.
  • Experience supporting or leading an ERP migration or major F&O implementation, ideally across multiple countries or legal entities.
  • Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories and actively shaping solution design.
  • Good understanding of the Dataverse & Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and how it integrates with F&O.
  • A genuine business-partner mindset - confident working with stakeholders, super users, technical teams and third-party partners, and comfortable challenging and advising in the business's interest.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements for both finance and technical audiences.
  • A practical process improvement mindset and the judgement to challenge where something could work better.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Experience supporting UAT, adoption, change activity and system improvements post-go-live.
  • D365 F&O certifications would be beneficial, but practical experience, ownership and delivery mindset are what matter most.
  • The Package
  • Market-competitive pay and performance-related rewards
  • 30 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Life assurance and enhanced family leave
  • Private healthcare from day one
  • Wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Programme and discounted gym/lifestyle perks
  • Learning and career development opportunities
  • Employee recognition and referral schemes
  • Retail discounts and cashback

How to prepare for a job interview at Safetykleen

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Safetykleen uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
