We’re looking for a hands‑on Waste Collection Manager to join our Bedford team. This is a fast‑paced, field‑based role where you’ll lead from the front – growing a customer base, developing your team, and delivering an outstanding waste service. The Role:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of waste collection representatives, spending time in the field to support and improve performance.
  • Drive revenue growth by sourcing and winning new business and developing existing customer accounts.
  • Manage and grow customer relationships, ensuring excellent communication and service delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and work orders to maximise efficiency and performance.
  • Deliver against individual, team, and branch sales and waste targets.
  • Handle customer queries and issues promptly, maintaining high service standards.
  • Manage team availability, including holiday and sickness cover, to ensure consistent service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with HSEQ standards.

About You:

  • You’ll come from a sales or account management background and be confident building strong relationships with customers.
  • You’re a natural communicator who enjoys asking the right questions, spotting opportunities, and delivering results in a target‑driven environment.
  • With some leadership or supervisory experience, you’re comfortable supporting and guiding others while leading by example.
  • You’ll also hold a full UK Class 2 drivers licence and be happy working in a field‑based role.
