A well-established highways construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support major highways and infrastructure projects across Peterborough and the surrounding regions. This is a senior, site-based advisory role, suited to someone with strong highways experience who enjoys being embedded in projects, supporting delivery teams, and driving safety performance across large-scale works rather than small packages.
The Role:
- Provide on-site health and safety advice across multiple highways construction projects
- Support site teams with RAMS, CPPs and safe systems of work
- Conduct site inspections, audits and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, client standards and company procedures
- Coach site teams and subcontractors to improve safety behaviours
- Support project teams during pre-start and planning phases
About You:
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within highways or civil engineering construction
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and infrastructure project delivery
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate essential (Diploma desirable)
- Confident working directly with operational teams
- Full UK driving licence
