An established and well-respected housing developer based in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Build Manager to take ownership of several live housing developments across the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading multiple Site Managers, and driving quality, safety, and delivery standards across all build operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple housing sites from groundwork through to completion and handover.
- Manage and support Site Managers to ensure programme, quality, and health & safety targets are met.
- Lead weekly site progress meetings, addressing any build or resourcing issues.
- Work closely with the technical, commercial, and sales teams to coordinate build activity.
- Ensure compliance with NHBC standards, Building Regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain consistent quality and safety standards.
- Mentor and develop the site management team to strengthen on-site leadership capability.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Build Manager, Construction Manager, or Senior Site Manager within new build housing.
- Strong knowledge of traditional build and/or timber frame construction.
- SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card, and First Aid at Work certification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple live sites with confidence and attention to detail.
Salary & Package:
- £65,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience)
