  • Support investigations into environmental incidents/near misses (e.g. spills, pollution risks, nuisance complaints) and implement corrective/preventative actions.
  • Manage environmental controls and monitoring as required (noise, dust, water management, waste, ecology constraints, pollution prevention).
  • Ensure permits, consents and approvals are in place and complied with where relevant to the project scope.
  • Provide environmental input into construction methodology and programme planning to reduce risk and avoid delays.
  • Liaise with regulators and external stakeholders where required (e.g. Environment Agency, local authorities, landowners).
  • Produce clear written reports, audit findings and performance updates for project and management teams.

  • Organised, proactive and comfortable supporting multiple sites/projects.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting framework‑based delivery (highways/civils) and client‑led compliance environments.
  • Environmental management system experience (ISO 14001).
  • IEMA membership (or working towards).
