Safety & Access Ltd are seeking an experienced Scaffolding & Safety Consultant to deliver inspections, audits, and consultancy services across a range of construction and industrial clients. This role is ideal for a CISRS-qualified scaffolder or inspector looking to move into a consultancy position, or an existing consultant seeking a varied, client-facing role.
Key Responsibilities
- Scaffold Inspections & Compliance
- Conduct statutory and non-statutory scaffold inspections (TG20, SG4)
- Identify defects, risks, and non-compliance issues
- Produce clear, accurate inspection reports with recommendations
- Support compliance with Work at Height Regulations and HSE guidance
- Consultancy & Advisory
- Review RAMS, procedures, and safety systems
- Carry out site audits and safety assessments
- Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to clients
- Support incident investigations where required
- Client Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients
- Build and maintain strong working relationships
- Deliver retained consultancy support (site visits and remote advice)
- Identify opportunities to add value and support business development
Requirements
Essential:
- CISRS Scaffolding qualification (Part 2 minimum) or CISRS Scaffold Inspection
- Proven scaffolding industry experience (site or supervisory level)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Work at Height Regulations
- TG20 & SG4
- HSE requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Flexibility for travel and site visits across the UK
Desirable:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience in scaffolding or H&S consultancy
- Experience delivering audits and compliance reports
- Supervisory or management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
