Job Description

There is a unique prospect to work for a FTSE 250 company within a dynamic property team on a national portfolio. The individual will support across the department. They will gain exposure to live issues with potential to influence property strategy. There is an opportunity to obtain professional qualifications in this role.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Appropriate support and guidance for all responsibilities will be provided by the Property team. These will be taken on by the candidate as they progress within the role.

· Point of contact for operational teams to problem solve property estate matters

· Work closely with the Asset Management team to maximise potential from each property and minimise occupational costs

· Support management of tenancy income and influence strategy for tenant portfolio

· Valuation work will include supporting analysis of formal asset valuation, appraising rental values, conducting development appraisals for new stores

· Support Acquisition team to conduct site inspections and perform due diligence on new sites

· Instruct and work with professional advisors (lawyers, lease advisory, valuations etc.)

Experience and Skills Required

· Applicants ideally hold a property accredited degree

· Opportunity to become a Chartered Surveyor (will be funded by employer).

· Relevant work experience

· Ability to understand the business and balance commercial needs with assessed risks

· Ability to fully engage with all levels of employees and stakeholders

· Not essential but ability to speak 1 or more European languages is welcomed. Potential to support the business in our expansion markets

General and technical competencies

· Professional, personable and adaptable style, a team player

· Excellent communicator (oral, written & numerical). Although prior experience is not essential, the confidence to negotiate is a must.

· Active approach to both personal development and delivering results for the company

· Determined to succeed

· Able to use initiative to manage a changing workload

· Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the role and takes ownership of their person

· Good knowledge of Microsoft office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

· Is willing to visit sites across various locations in the UK – full driving licence required
