We have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join a brand-new specialist service in Macclesfield. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting individuals with complex mental health needs in a bespoke, high-quality development designed to promote independence and positive outcomes. This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to make a genuine difference while developing their skills in a specialist environment.
About the service
This service supports individuals transitioning from secure environments, rehabilitation units, forensic services, and out-of-area placements. For many, this will be their first step towards semi-independent living. While the role can be challenging, it offers a real opportunity to transform lives, develop meaningful relationships, and help shape a strong, supportive team from the ground up.
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Support individuals with complex mental health needs, including forensic backgrounds and increased risks
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Proactively manage challenging behaviours using a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity at every stage of care
- Shift preferences for days or nights will be considered
What we're looking for:
- Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification or willingness to work towards this
- Experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours
- A genuine passion for making a difference
- Self-motivated, empathetic, dynamic, and creative individuals
