My client is a well established Care Home with 51 residents. The aim is to create a homely and supportive environment which respects independence and enables the ladies and gentlemen who live with us to achieve as full a life as possible. We offer permanent residential and dementia care, respite care, holiday stays and short term care services.

The role of Kitchen Assistant is to support and assist the Cook in all aspects of the kitchen, including safe handling of COSHH items, infection control and all health and safety requirements.

Skills and Knowledge required:
  • Must be able to work as part of a team to cultivate a safe, homely and trusting environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to relate to the people who live at the care home
  • Must be able to work in a professional manner at all times
  • To ensure that all mandatory training is up to date as required
  • A satisfactory DBS check
  • Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence
