I am working with a globally operating, well-established and family-run business within the automotive industry - more specifically commercial vehicle supply and export. Passionate about quality and committed to excellent customer service and products, my client has continued to grow consistently over the past 30+ years. With the business going from strength to strength, this is a really exciting time to join the team, and they are now looking for HGV Mechanics of varying levels of experience to join their existing Workshop team.

Stoke £45k to £50k dependent on experience

4 Nights out per week in a tramping role

Full UK Driver's Licence and current CPC required

Role: Within the position of Lowloader Driver, there will be the opportunity to collect and deliver vehicles across mainland Britain.

  • Collection and delivery of trucks and trailers across the United Kingdom
  • Mechanical experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Load, secure, and unload machinery using appropriate strapping and safety procedures.
  • Plan delivery routes and ensure deliveries are completed on time.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork, driver logs, and delivery documentation accurately.
  • Adhere to DVSA regulations, driving laws, and company health & safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and the transport team.
  • Report vehicle defects, delays, incidents, or compliance concerns promptly.
  • Ensure high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation are maintained.
  • Follow all regulations relating to tachographs, driver hours, and load security.
  • Support the transport operation with flexibility for occasional nights out or early starts where required.

Requirements: To be successfully considered for the position of Lowloader Driver, you would have a full understanding of the EU and Domestic regulations as well as working hours directive.
