As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring comfort and wellbeing. You will work in a team supporting both staff and residents in residential or nursing home settings, as well as some supported living services.

We have a variety of shifts for Healthcare Assistants including long days, earlies, lates and nights available in: Margate, Dover, Folkestone, Canterbury, Ramsgate, Westgate, Capel Le Ferne, Ashford, Sandwich, Hastings and Eastbourne.

Your main duties will involve:

  • Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
  • Supporting residents with mobility and transfer, using the appropriate equipment where required.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to all residents.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Always promoting independence and dignity.
  • Following and updating care plans.

Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant or Support Worker would be beneficial, however, full training can be provided for those who demonstrate a compassionate, caring nature and desire to provide quality care to improve the lives of others.

You should also have:

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full Right to Work in the United Kingdom is essential
  • A full UK Drivers Licence is desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable
  • Willingness to attend training and induction at our Canterbury office
