Job Description Registered Manager \n Medway \n Competative Salary \n Full time \n Permanent \n \nWe are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our established children's residential home in Medway\n \nAs Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and development of the young people in our care. You will lead, inspire and develop a skilled staff team, whilst maintaining and building upon our strong Ofsted rating.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n \n \n Provide strong, visible leadership to the staff team, fostering a culture of high standards, respect and continuous improvement \n Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Ofsted quality standards framework \n Develop, implement and review individual care plans, risk assessments and placement plans for each young person \n Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, placing authorities and external professionals \n Manage budgets, rotas, staffing levels and HR matters including supervision, appraisals and performance management \n Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times, acting as designated safeguarding lead \n Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, maintaining accurate records and evidence of outcomes \n Drive quality assurance, undertaking regular audits and implementing learning from incidents and complaints \n Essential Requirements\n \n \n Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards, with commitment to complete) \n Experience as a Home Manager or Deupty Manager \n Full understanding of the Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation \n Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) \n Desirable\n \n \n Experience managing a home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or trauma backgrounds \n Training in therapeutic approaches such as PACE, Dyadic Developmental Practice or similar \n Experience of Ofsted inspections as the Registered Manager \n What we can offer\n \n \n Competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications \n Company pensions scheme \n Dedicated senior management support \n 36 days annual leave including bank holidays \n Funded CPD and training \n Employee Assistance Programme \n If you have the relevant experience and are based in the Medway area and would like to learn more, then please contact Safer Hand Care and ask for Dani Hinkley.
