Role:
- Full-time
- 8:30am - 5pm
- Hybrid (must live within commutable distance)
- Stone, Staffordshire
- Up to £30k DOE (+ performance-based bonus)
As the Bid Writer, you will be tasked with generating persuasive bid proposals and creating presentations for public sector and corporate prospective clients. This position has become available due to expansion and demand, and you will be joining a small but exceptionally successful team.
On a day-to-day basis, you could be expected to:
- Work to strict deadlines and achieve internal and external time limits.
- Attend multiple meetings and actively participate, adding valuable contributions.
- Request information from colleagues and relevant parties within set time limits.
- Consistently update and improve the Bid Library.
- Adapt and refine content to enhance bid responses and re-write old proposals as needed.
- Initiate and build great working relationships both internally and externally.
- Conduct research to support your work before meetings.
- Submit completed proposal responses to the Senior Bid Writer or Head of Bid within agreed deadlines.
- Develop tailored responses and method statements for each bid.
- Create presentations and supporting handouts for each proposal.
- Review and analyse bids to improve future endeavours.
- Assist other departments with copywriting for newsletters and marketing material when required.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in bid writing.
- Proven ability to produce excellent sales and strategy documentation.
- Educated to degree level (preferable but not necessary).
- Exceptional writing and English language skills.
- Ability to generate concise and effective content.
- Excellent editing skills.
- IT proficiency (including Microsoft Office packages).
- A forward-thinking, collaborative, and flexible approach.
- Ability to confidently present bids in a professional manner.
- Experience managing a demanding workload and prioritising tasks efficiently.
- Keen attention to detail.
