Our client is looking for an ambitious Accounts Associate to join our growing team in Shrewsbury. Our client based in Shrewsbury is an award-winning international accountancy and business advisory firm. As the Accounts Associate, based in Shrewsbury, you will be an integral part of the Accounts & Business Advisory Services team, working closely with experienced professionals and mentors to enhance your practical skills and client service capabilities. As an Accounts Associate, you will be expected to:
- Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day accounting activities.
- Liaise with clients and HMRC, gaining broad exposure across the practice.
- Begin advising on best practices, with the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge.
Requirements: As the Accounts Associate, you will be expected to have at least 1 year's accounts experience with an accountancy practice environment. In addition to this, you will be/have:
- A finance/accounts related qualification
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
- Proficiency in IT and knowledge/experience of accounting software
- A strong communicator with an eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Either studying towards AAT or looking to begin the qualification (full support provided).
- Ideally based locally to Shrewsbury
