Role Summary: The Digital Systems Engineer owns and supports our core business platforms, including our ERP system (Odoo Enterprise) and Microsoft 365 Business Premium. This is an internal role with real accountability for how systems operate day-to-day across all internal customers. You will be a key stakeholder in relation to Information Security and will work closely with the Information Security Engineer.

Key responsibilities:

  • ERP & Business Systems Ownership: Administer, support and optimise our ERP platform across core business processes. Act as the internal owner for ERP configuration, data integrity, permissions and change control. Work with external implementation partners where specialist input is required. Support upgrades, testing and continuous improvement of ERP functionality.
  • Microsoft 365 & Workplace Technology: Administer Microsoft 365 Business Premium including SharePoint, Exchange, Teams and Intune. Manage user onboarding and offboarding, access controls and permissions. Support collaboration, document management and endpoint management.
  • IT Operations & Infrastructure: Manage and support endpoints, laptops, printers, networks, NAS and Ubiquiti infrastructure. Provide Tier 2/3 IT support and resolve escalated technical issues. Support backup, disaster recovery and restore testing.
  • Automation, Reporting & Improvement: Automate workflows using Power Automate and related tools. Support Power BI reporting and data flows where required. Work directly with business users to deliver practical system improvements.
  • Governance & Documentation: Own and maintain system documentation, SOPs and runbooks. Manage the relationship with our managed service provider, including quarterly service reviews. Ensure systems operate in line with ISO9001 and ISO27001 expectations.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working as the internal point of accountability (sysadmin) for ERP data, configuration, and change - working with external partners where required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure and endpoints.
  • Comfortable working in an SME environment with real accountability and autonomy.
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working in ISO9001 and ISO27001 environments.
