Our client provides specialist residential care for children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Their mission is to create safe, nurturing environments where children can heal, grow, and thrive. We use a trauma‑informed, child‑centred approach, supporting every child through personalised care, education, and life skills development.

As the Registered Children’s Home Manager, you’ll lead one of their homes with empathy, professionalism, and integrity. You’ll oversee daily operations, guide a passionate team, and ensure the home operates in full compliance with OFSTED regulations. Most importantly, you’ll play a vital role in transforming the lives of the young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring a high‑quality and nurturing residential environment.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a dedicated care team through effective supervision and coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with OFSTED and all relevant childcare legislation.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Develop, review, and monitor personalised care and behaviour management plans.
  • Promote safety, wellbeing, and development for every young person in your care.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years’ recent experience as an OFSTED Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting.
  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Strong understanding of EBD, trauma‑informed practice, and safeguarding legislation.
  • Proven leadership, organisational, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with children, families, and professionals.
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
