Safehaven Talent is proud to be advertising this rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a brand-new, purpose-built children’s residential home for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is more than a management role – it’s your chance to create a home from the ground up, build a team in your own vision, and deliver a nurturing, high-quality service that transforms lives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the home through Ofsted registration and establishing all operational systems and frameworks.
- Recruiting, training, and inspiring a full staff team, including a Deputy Manager and support staff.
- Designing and implementing bespoke care plans that prioritise the well-being and aspirations of each child.
- Creating a warm, safe, and therapeutic home environment aligned with Ofsted Quality Standards.
- Ensuring robust safeguarding practices and fostering strong partnerships with families, social workers, and professionals.
- Driving continuous improvement and achieving excellence through reflective leadership and a strong team culture.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year as an Ofsted Registered Manager in a children’s home setting.
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent). NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent).
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of The Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015).
- Leadership Qualities: Inspiration.
