As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of a children’s residential home. Your duties will include:
- Leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for children.
- Ensuring the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and homely environment that promotes children’s emotional, physical, and educational development.
- Developing and implementing individualised care plans and risk assessments.
- Providing ongoing supervision, support, and development opportunities for your staff team.
- Maintaining high standards of record-keeping and accountability.
- Building strong partnerships with local authorities, professionals, and families.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, therapeutic care, and child-centred practice.
- Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections, ensuring readiness at all times.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a role relevant to the residential care of children.
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising or managing staff within a children’s home or similar setting.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
- A proven track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.
- Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children’s residential care standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and lead by example to create a safe and nurturing home environment.
- A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
