Our school is a calm and orderly place, and we work hard to ensure everyone feels welcome. As the largest school in Colchester, we have exceptional facilities. As part of the Sigma Trust, we offer many opportunities for staff to work collaboratively across Sigma schools and pursue ongoing professional development.

This role is for a football specialist within our Sports Academy, starting in January 2026. This will involve delivering high-quality football practical sessions at the Colchester Sports Park on Mondays and Fridays and supporting these teams in fixtures on Wednesdays. On Tuesdays, Wednesday mornings, and Thursdays, this will involve delivering the level 3 BTEC course to our Sports Academy students.

A Day in the Life:

  • Delivery of practical sport sessions in football
  • Delivery of classroom-based lessons
  • Support with extra-curricular activities and fixtures on site and off site

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of playing or coaching football at a high level
  • UEFA B licence desirable but not essential
  • An ambition to see all students be the best they can be both academically and practically
