- Planning, designing and producing teaching materials and resources which are appropriate to age and ability in consultation with the Head of Department.
- Managing the classroom and teaching equipment to create a positive learning environment which makes effective use of available resources.
- Facilitating the progress and general well-being of students, providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters.

About The Stanway School:
The Stanway School is a heavily oversubscribed 11-16 comprehensive school with over 1,300 students on roll. The school is a specialist in Humanities and Maths & Computing and has undergone substantial development, including a rebuilt Creative Arts block opened in September 2018. By 2021, year groups will be full with 280 students following expansion. In March 2012 it converted to an academy and in September 2016 joined the Sigma Trust, a partnership of schools in North East Essex.
