We are seeking to appoint an Associate Teacher Manager to play a key role in the operational organisation of the school and the leadership of our Associate Teacher team. This varied and rewarding role combines day‑to‑day delivery of Associate Teacher responsibilities with leadership, coordination and operational management. The successful candidate will work closely with leaders, teachers and support staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day, high‑quality classroom cover and consistent expectations for students.   • 37 hours per week.
  • 39‑week per year role, which includes term time plus non‑pupil days.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily deployment of the Associate Teacher team and support the smooth operational running of the school day.
  • Deliver high‑quality classroom supervision during short‑term absence of teaching staff.
  • Support the induction, training and development of Associate Teachers.
  • Monitor and quality‑assure the work of the Associate Teacher team to ensure high standards of classroom practice, behaviour management and student engagement.
  • Coordinate staffing, rooming and short‑term timetable adjustments where required.
  • Liaise with external supply agencies and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Support the development of Associate Teacher resources that promote reading, writing and cultural capital.

Qualifications

  • Successful experience working with children in a school or similar environment.
  • Experience supervising whole classes or supporting learning within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Ability to lead, support and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Commitment to high expectations, consistency and positive relationships with young people.
