As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you’ll serve as the bridge between our technical expertise and our customers’ project needs. In this role, you’ll act as a consultative authority, turning complex building science into practical solutions. You’ll take ownership of the full customer lifecycle, from new business prospecting to revitalising lapsed relationships and nurturing key accounts. As a brand ambassador, you’ll drive revenue and margin growth by delivering webinars, attending industry events and enabling our customers to use our systems effectively.
A look at your day-to-day:
- Consultative Specification: You’ll provide expert technical advice by phone and email, translating data and product knowledge into persuasive specifications that help secure project wins.
- Strategic Account Management: You’ll take full ownership of an assigned portfolio of key accounts, identifying opportunities to move customers towards integrated systems.
- Market Education: You’ll deliver technical webinars and CPD sessions to industry professionals, helping establish Safeguard as a trusted technical voice in the market.
- Lead Generation: You’ll proactively prospect for new business using industry insight and coordinate lead-generation campaigns with our marketing team.
- On-Site Expertise: Occasionally, you’ll visit project sites to carry out consultations and inspections to troubleshoot complex building defects.
- Event Leadership: You’ll lead our presence at trade shows and exhibitions, managing stands and capturing high-quality leads.

- Connecting Technical Knowledge to Customer Needs: You’ll act as the primary link between our Technical/R&D teams and the customer, making complex technical data easier for contractors and merchants to understand.
- Business Growth: As well as account management, you’ll actively put strategies in place to recover “at-risk” revenue and increase the lifetime value of every customer.
- Building Relationships: You’ll foster long-term, high-value partnerships and professional networks across the construction industry.
- Team Empowerment: You’ll support the Sales Support team by sharing technical knowledge and taking ownership of complex sales or technical complaints when they arise.
