Working from a Home Office and reporting to the Sales Director Europe, you will be responsible for developing the Southern UK market for our TEI technologies, focusing on the GEM steam traps and the FluAce heat recovery technology.
Key responsibilities:
- Build up the sales by identifying and qualifying prospective customers and penetrate targeted prospects in order to generate revenue to achieve/exceed targets, including follow up on all leads.
- You are the primary contact for potential customers in the region who are interested in the company product line.
- Manage all stages of the sale from lead generation through to commissioning and aftersales.
- Arrange and make sales presentations and demonstrations at customer sites.
- Travel at least 3 days per week to achieve your sales targets, with a minimum of 6-8 customer visits per calendar week expected.
- Present company capabilities and create a new business pipeline to meet agreed growth plans through accurate forecasting.
- Develop and implement a business development plan to profitably grow the company's business within the region, taking full responsibility for sales figures (planning/forecasts/reporting).
- Prepare and maintain a sales pipeline database (via our existing CRM system), defining main opportunities, objectives and product resource requirements to support these.
- Become a sales expert on all company products, obtaining the necessary market and product knowledge to credibly support customer requests for technical product information.
- Gather customer feedback for the development of local market reference materials.
- Respond in a timely manner to inquiries from prospects and customers.
- Manage and present at industry tradeshows, sales meetings, sales calls, sales seminars, webinars and technical workshops.
- Cooperate with engineering and commercial staff at the European HQ in the UK.
- Generate adequate and correct quotations.
- Ensure that the number of enquiries from existing and prospective customers will grow through a proactive customer approach.
- Win/receive customer orders (PO) and ensure that the POs reflect the quotations and terms and conditions.
- Ensure that customer POs are properly handed over to internal TEI staff in the UK.
- Closely observe competitor activities and report accordingly.
- Monitor customers and potential customers' activities which are vital for the growth of the business and report those accordingly.
- Maintain a detailed, correct and up-to-date CRM system and generate reports covering order intake, quotes generated, customer visit reports, travel planning, customer prospects, order prospects, and customer contacts.
- Identify and communicate product development requirements with a clear assessment of the market potential and priority.
- Manage the agency/distributor network (if applicable) to ensure that it remains active, effective and aligned to the optimization of sales.
