The Purchasing Assistant supports the supply chain team by assisting with purchasing activities, supplier coordination, order processing, and inventory tracking. This role ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining accurate purchasing records.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and processing purchase orders
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Support supplier evaluation and onboarding processes
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
- Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, associated invoices, and shipments
