About the Role
As a Casual Residential Youth Worker, you will provide therapeutic support to children and young people across our children's homes throughout Northern Ireland.
Working alongside our permanent teams, you will help provide stability, consistency and positive relationships for young people while supporting the day-to-day running of our therapeutic homes.
This role offers flexibility while maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Working Pattern
- Casual contract with flexible availability.
- Applicants should be available to work shifts across our children's homes throughout Northern Ireland.
- Minimum expectation of approximately 72 working hours and three sleep-in duties per month .
- Standard residential shift consists of 24 hours , including 16 hours working time and an 8-hour paid sleep-in period .
- Opportunities to work additional shifts based on service needs.

Essential Criteria
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of six months' experience supporting children, young people or adults who present with challenging behaviours.
- A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Youth Work, Social Care or another relevant discipline.
- A full UK or Irish driving licence held for at least one year, with no more than three penalty points.
- Current Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) Part 1 or Part 2 registration, or eligibility to register.
- Eligibility to obtain an Enhanced Access NI clearance.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within children's residential care.
- Experience supporting traumatised children and young people.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic care.
Induction
Successful applicants will complete a paid induction programme , including a compulsory one-week face-to-face induction . Date to be confirmed during interviews for successful shortlisted candidates.
