Safe Intelligence is on a mission to make AI safe and reliable for everyone. To help us achieve this, we're seeking a Marketing Associate to join our team! We're particularly looking for someone with early but strong generalist marketing and problem-solving skills. In this role, you'll take ownership of key marketing activities including event sponsorships, marketing content, partnership outreach, and basic marketing automation. The position will report directly to the CEO.
As a good fit for this role you’ll need high agency in getting things done, be curious and motivated to learn, as well as having a collaborative spirit to work closely with our sales, product, and technical specialists. The role is 3-4 days per week in the office in London (based in Hammersmith). We're excited to have you contribute to our mission!
Responsibilities
- Own and execute day-to-day marketing “block and tackle” work across content, events, web, and partnerships: turning ideas into shipped outputs quickly and reliably.
- Help build our content engine: write and edit blog posts, announcements, website copy, case studies, product explainers, and customer-facing collateral for enterprise B2B audiences.
- Translate complex technical topics (AI/ML validation, robustness, testing, and safe deployment) into clear narratives and credible messaging for different audiences (engineers, product leaders, risk/compliance, executives).
- Support journalist and influencer interactions: maintain press lists, coordinate briefings, draft responses and press materials, and ensure consistent messaging.
- Maintain and improve our web presence: update pages in our CMS, publish content, ensure basic SEO hygiene, and keep pages accurate, fast, and consistent.
- Create and iterate on visual assets: diagrams, infographics, simple product visuals, slides, and social assets — keeping a clean, consistent style and high signal-to-noise.
- Build lightweight marketing operations: maintain calendars, checklists, and process documentation; track activities and outcomes; ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Support customer and community engagement: help manage inbound requests, follow-ups, and relationship-building with the people and organizations in our ecosystem.
- Contribute to continuous improvement: suggest experiments, measure outcomes, learn quickly, and iterate on what works.
Requirements
- Must-have: Strong academic degree and/or significant experience in the field: Degree ideally in a business, marketing, analytics or technical field. Academic degree results can be replaced by 3-4 years of hands-on technical marketing experience in a business or technical field.
- Exposure to B2B enterprise marketing: E.g. experience in enterprise SaaS, developer tools, security, ML/AI, or compliance-heavy domains. Familiarity with longer sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying (technical + risk + leadership).
- Excellent writing and editing: Experience producing clear, well-structured content quickly (blog posts, announcements, event copy, partner emails).
- Strong grasp of narrative, messaging: “why this matters” storytelling for technical audiences.
- High agency, block-and-tackle execution: Comfortable owning messy problems end-to-end: define the task, break it down, execute, and iterate. Reliable follow-through with strong attention to detail (timelines, comms, logistics, publishing).
- People-facing communication: Confident interacting with customers, partners, journalists, and event organizers. Ability to represent the company professionally and build relationships over time.
- Visual communication basics: Ability to create and iterate on simple visuals (slides, diagrams, infographics) using common tools.
- Professionalism and discretion: Good judgement with sensitive info (customers, security, research, roadmap).
Useful Additional Background
- Event and community operations: ability to plan and run small to mid-size events: venue + speaker coordination, attendee comms, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up.
- Basic web + content operations: Comfortable maintaining a website/CMS, landing pages, and basic SEO hygiene. Understanding of analytics basics (e.g., traffic sources, conversion events, content performance).
- PR / journalist relations: Experience pitching stories, managing press inquiries, drafting press releases, or coordinating announcements.
- Sponsorships and partner negotiation: Experience negotiating sponsorship packages, partner promos, cross-posts, or event collaborations.
- Content systems and distribution: Experience running a content calendar; repurposing long-form into short-form; basic newsletter ops. Familiar with social scheduling tools and lightweight campaign planning.
- Design and multimedia: Stronger skills in tools like Figma / Illustrator / Canva; basic video editing; podcast/webinar support. Ability to turn technical material into clean diagrams and “explainer” assets.
- Marketing tooling familiarity: CRM/email tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.), webinar platforms, event tooling, and simple automation. Comfort working with UTM discipline and measuring funnel impact.
At a personal level we’re looking for someone who is
- Curious and constantly learning.
- Biased to action and getting things done and comfortable taking ownership of tasks.
- Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with a variety of audiences including developers, clients, researchers, partners, and executives.
- Fearless in getting "hands-on" with technology and execution.
- Comfortable with ambiguity with a drive for clarity.
- Collaborative with, and respectful of others on the team.
- Honest, straightforward and caring about each other’s well-being.
