Our client are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager<\/b> to lead a new home through Ofsted registration<\/b> and establish a safe, nurturing, and high -performing environment where children can thrive. Key Responsibilities:<\/b> Lead the home through registration and ensure ongoing compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015<\/b> and Quality Standards<\/b>. Provide strong safeguarding leadership<\/b>, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and external agencies. Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and motivated team, embedding a trauma -informed<\/b> and PACE -aligned<\/b> culture. Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support, and education engagement for each child. Maintain accurate and compliant records, audits, and Regulation 44/45<\/b> processes to drive continuous improvement. Manage budgets, rotas, and resources effectively to ensure safe staffing levels and efficient operations. Build and maintain positive working relationships with placing authorities, IROs, schools, and families. Represent the home professionally in all external meetings and inspections. Requirements<\/h3>Essential:<\/b><\/p>Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (England)<\/b> or equivalent.<\/p><\/li>Minimum 2 years’ recent experience<\/b> in a children’s residential setting, including at least 12 months supervising or managing staff<\/b> (Deputy or Registered Manager level).<\/p><\/li>Strong understanding of key regulations (Regs 11–14, Reg 35), safeguarding frameworks (Working Together 2023<\/b>), and Ofsted SCCIF<\/b> inspection criteria.<\/p><\/li>Demonstrable experience of achieving or maintaining Good or Outstanding<\/b> Ofsted outcomes, or of taking a home from start -up to full compliance<\/b>.<\/p><\/li>Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with a calm, child -centred approach to decision -making.<\/p><\/li>Confident in multi -agency working, managing risk, incidents, and complaints effectively.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Desirable:<\/b><\/p>Previous experience registering or opening a new children’s home.<\/p><\/li>Familiarity with NFPS PMVA<\/b> (Positive Management of Violence and Aggression) and PACE<\/b> therapeutic practice.<\/p><\/li>Experience supporting children with EBD<\/b>, CSE/CCE risk<\/b>, and missing -from -care<\/b> protocols (e.g., Philomena).<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/span>Benefits<\/h3>Benefits<\/b><\/h3>Competitive salary upto £65,000 (DOE)<\/b> plus registration success bonus<\/b>.<\/p><\/li>25 days’ annual leave<\/b> plus bank holidays (pro -rated pre -registration).<\/p><\/li>Funded development and professional memberships.<\/p><\/li>Regular supervision, coaching<\/b>, and leadership support.<\/p><\/li>Company laptop, mobile phone, and mileage allowance.<\/p><\/li>Opportunity to build a model home<\/b> with genuine therapeutic practice and small caseloads (2 beds, 2:1 staffing).<\/p><\/li>A supportive, values -led organisation committed to staff wellbeing and child -centred outcomes.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/span>
