We are a new and ambitious organisation dedicated to providing exceptional residential care for children and young people. Building on our parent company’s strong national reputation for high -quality accommodation and support for care leavers, we are expanding into the children’s homes sector — combining operational excellence with a compassionate, forward -thinking approach.

We are preparing to open our first Ofsted -registered children’s home in Streatham<\/b>, supporting up to four children aged 8–18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)<\/b>.
<\/p>

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and visionary Registered Manager<\/b> to lead this exciting new venture from the ground up — someone who is eager to shape a home that delivers truly life -changing outcomes for young people.

Your Role<\/b>
<\/div>
As Registered Manager, you will take full operational and regulatory responsibility for the home — leading it through its pre -registration phase<\/b> with Ofsted, through to launch and ongoing delivery of high -quality care.

Pre -Registration Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Lead the Ofsted registration process<\/b> in partnership with the Responsible Individual, Director, and consultant.
    <\/li>
  • Develop the Statement of Purpose<\/b>, Children’s Guide<\/b>, and Policies and Procedures<\/b> in line with Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure the property, environment, and staffing structure fully meet all Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
    <\/li>
  • Establish robust frameworks for safeguarding<\/b>, supervision<\/b>, care planning<\/b>, and quality assurance<\/b>.
    <\/li>
  • Oversee the recruitment and safer recruitment checks for all staff.
    <\/li>
  • Prepare for Ofsted interviews and ensure the home is fully compliant and ready for registration.

    Post -Registration Responsibilities<\/b>

    • Lead the home’s daily operations, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and company values.
      <\/li>
    • Provide strong leadership and direction to your team, fostering a culture of high -quality, child -centred care<\/b>.
      <\/li>
    • Oversee individual care plans, ensuring they reflect each child’s unique needs and progress.
      <\/li>
    • Maintain a safeguarding -first culture with clear accountability across all staff.
      <\/li>
    • Drive continuous improvement to achieve and sustain Good or Outstanding<\/b> Ofsted outcomes.
      <\/li>
    • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, local authorities, and partner agencies.
      <\/li>
    • Maintain accurate and compliant records across all operational areas.

      Requirements<\/h3>Requirements<\/b><\/p>We’re looking for a dynamic leader<\/b> who blends empathy with excellence, and who thrives on building something meaningful from the ground up.<\/p>Essential:<\/b><\/p>Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).<\/li>Minimum 2 years’ experience<\/b> as a Registered Manager in an Ofsted -registered children’s home (EBD or similar).<\/li>Proven track record of achieving Good<\/b> or Outstanding<\/b> Ofsted ratings.<\/li>Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015)<\/b>.<\/li>Robust safeguarding knowledge and ability to implement effective systems and processes.<\/li>Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.<\/li><\/ul>Desirable:<\/b><\/p>Experience supporting children with EBD<\/b>, trauma<\/b>, or attachment difficulties<\/b>.<\/li>Previous involvement in registering or setting up<\/b> a new children’s home.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/span>Benefits<\/h3>We believe that great leaders deserve great rewards.
