As a Registered Manager<\/b>, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of a children’s residential home. Your duties will include:

  • Leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes<\/b> for children.

  • Ensuring the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards<\/b>.
    <\/li>
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and homely environment<\/b> that promotes children’s emotional, physical, and educational development.
    <\/li>
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans and risk assessments.
    <\/li>
  • Providing ongoing supervision, support, and development opportunities for your staff team.
    <\/li>
  • Maintaining high standards of record -keeping and accountability.
    <\/li>
  • Building strong partnerships with local authorities, professionals, and families.
    <\/li>
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, therapeutic care, and child -centred practice<\/b>.

  • Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections, ensuring readiness at all times.

    Requirements<\/h3>To be considered for this role, candidates must have:<\/p>A minimum of 5 years’ experience<\/b> working in a role relevant to the residential care of children.<\/li>At least 2 years’ experience supervising or managing staff<\/b> within a children’s home or similar setting.<\/li>NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce<\/b> (or equivalent).<\/li>Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)<\/b>.<\/li>A proven track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted<\/b> ratings.<\/li>Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children’s residential care standards.<\/li>Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.<\/li>The ability to inspire, motivate, and lead by example to create a safe and nurturing home environment.<\/li><\/ul>A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK<\/span><\/div><\/span>Benefits<\/h3>Joining means becoming part of a progressive, supportive, and child -focused organisation that values its people.
