We are a family‑run, independent organisation operating Ofsted‑regulated Children’s Homes in the Basildon area. We are seeking committed, compassionate individuals who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people by helping to create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Promoting Development & Independence: Support young people to build essential life skills, develop confidence and work towards greater independence.
- Daily Engagement & Activities: Assist with day‑to‑day routines and meaningful activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, hobbies, and personal goals.
- Educational Support: Facilitate access to education, including transport to school or supporting home‑learning arrangements when required.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Creating a Nurturing Environment: Contribute to a warm, structured and supportive home environment that promotes emotional, social and educational development.
- Professional Conduct: Communicate clearly and consistently with colleagues and external professionals, maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Level 3 Health & Social Care (child pathway or equivalent)
- Experience in support work, care assistance, domiciliary care, or residential settings
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- No outstanding LADO or safeguarding referrals
- Preferred: Diploma of Higher Education
- At least 1 year of experience working with children or young adults
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: From £35,000 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Shift Pattern: Average 48 hours per week, including a mix of day shifts and waking nights
