We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Policy and Research Lead to play a pivotal role in strengthening our policy and advocacy work. This role will be crucial in advancing our evidence base, supporting strategic advocacy efforts, and ensuring our policy recommendations are robust, well-informed, and effectively communicated.

As a key member of the Advocacy Team, you will contribute to research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that our work is grounded in the latest evidence and best practice. This role will involve producing policy briefings, conducting desk-based research, tracking political developments, and supporting engagement with decision-makers.

You would work as part of the National team which includes Comms and Fundraising, and you will need to be able to travel and work across the UK.

CONTRACT TYPE

This is a permanent contract. Subject to continued partnership funding.

HOURS OF WORK

Full time (37 hours 30 minutes)

LOCATION

Flexible but based at one of our regional offices: (Birmingham, Cardiff, Darlington, Dudley, Edinburgh, Leicester, Lincoln, London, Newcastle, Nottingham, Skelmersdale, Southampton, Swindon). Regular London travel required. Flexible remote working is available for some hours a week.

SALARY

£23,640.00 – £25,742.00 (+£3,000 for London Weighting). Dependent on skills and experience.

HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT

36 days annual leave allowance (inclusive of bank holidays and Christmas closure), option to purchase additional leave and extra days added to your allowance with length of service.
