The Church and Community Relationship Coordinator is a role focused on inspiring, resourcing and activating individuals and churches to understand the biblical mandate to care for children and families. You will inspire them to respond and play their part in the solution.

The role will focus on growing relationships with Church leaders, networks and individual Christians. The role of the Church and Community Relationship Coordinator is to stir, resource and activate the Church as we work together to provide a holistic solution which prevents children from entering the care system, and increases the number of safe and nurturing homes through fostering, adoption and supported lodgings.

The role also includes the recruitment and nurture of a team of volunteer Church Champions across your area who will enable us to maximize our vision and multiply our impact. You would work as part of the West Sussex and Southampton teams, with a particular focus on engaging churches across West Sussex and the priority city of Southampton in Hampshire.

You will need to be able to easily travel and work across the area in addition to occasional travel across the wider London and South East Area.

Contract Type: This is a permanent contract. Subject to continued partnership funding.

Hours of Work: Part time 0.8 (30 hours)

Location: Hybrid (4 days in our Southampton office a month).

Holiday Entitlement: 36 days annual leave allowance (inclusive of bank holidays and Christmas closure), option to purchase additional leave and extra days added to your allowance with length of service. Pro-rated for part time staff.
