The Role
After nearly a decade of Salesforce usage without an inhouse expert, our organisation is now seeking a hands-on Salesforce Architect to take complete ownership of our Salesforce ecosystem. This person will stabilise, redesign and futureproof our CRM infrastructure – resolving legacy issues, eliminating technical debt, rebuilding workflows and automation, and establishing governance practices to support scalable growth. If you enjoy transforming messy, overengineering, or outdated Salesforce environments into clean, efficient, high-performing systems, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Audit & Remediation
- Conduct a complete org assessment: data model, security model, flows, workflows, permissions, and integrations.
- Identify technical debt, conflicting automations, unused configuration, and system inefficiencies.
- Deliver a detailed remediation plan and execute against it.
- Architecture Redesign
- Rebuild the Salesforce data model for clarity, performance, and scalability.
- Redesign the automation framework using Flow-first architecture and modern patterns.
- Create a structured, governed hierarchy for record types, layouts, permissions, and profiles.
- Workflow & Process Automation
- Replace legacy Process Builders and Workflow Rules with optimised Flows.
- Align automations to refined business processes across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations.
- Reduce flow errors, improve reliability, and increase system performance.
- Data Quality & Governance
- Implement data hygiene rules: dedupe, validation, normalisation, and ownership frameworks.
- Enforce governance, change control, and proper release management using sandboxes.
Skills & Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-10 years hands-on Salesforce experience
- Proven record of rebuilding a legacy Salesforce org or leading large-scale remediation projects.
- Deep expertise in:
- Salesforce Flows
- Data modelling
- Security model (roles, profiles, permission sets)
- Integrations & APIs
- Declarative configuration (App Builder)
- Ability to read/debug Apex (bonus if able to write it).
- Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Experience introducing governance and change management processes.
Preferred Certifications (Not all required – but highly desirable.)
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Advanced Administrator
- Integration Architect / Data Architect
- Application Architect or System Architect credentials
