Our mission is to make and share dance that inspires us all. Sadler's Wells East is our newest venue, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Lighting Technician to be part of its team. We are a receiving theatre with varied seasons, including both artistic and commercial activities.

You would be required to have a flexible approach to working patterns, and ideally will have experience of working with either repertory or touring companies. Are you a seasoned theatre professional with a passion for pushing boundaries and excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every performance is a live spectacle? You will have the following essential skills and experience:

  • Experience of working with a variety of shows in an on-stage capacity
  • Experience of working with touring companies and/or venues
  • Good knowledge of health and safety issues and safe working practices
  • Extensive knowledge, skills and experience in lighting for dance or theatre
  • Experience of ETC EOS family software and equipment
  • Knowledge of basic network infrastructure & terminology with a focus on lighting and show control
  • Flexible attitude and able to work as part of a team
  • Experience leading a lighting team on fit-up, get-out and show duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively and politely with co-workers
  • Must hold the right to work in the UK

Desirable, but not essential skills and experience:

  • Experience of working with large-scale dance, ballet, or opera
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks or similar design software
  • Experience of GrandMA3 family lighting software
  • Knowledge, skills and experience to an advanced level in lighting, show control and network infrastructure
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in sound, video or stage practice
