Academy Breakin’ Convention (ABC) is seeking an experienced Performing Arts Facilitator with a Hip Hop Specialism to join our pioneering Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner in an educational setting who is passionate about mentoring young people and sharing their knowledge of hip‑hop culture, history, and artistic practice.
Sadler’s Wells is a world‑leading creative organisation dedicated to dance in all its forms. Our mission is to make and share dance that inspires us all. ABC is the UK’s first Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performance and Production Arts focused on Hip Hop Theatre, for 16‑19 year olds (up to 25 with an Education Health Care Plan).
The Performing Arts Facilitator will support learners in successfully completing the UAL Level 3 qualification through the co‑creation and delivery of engaging lessons that prepare the next generation of leaders for careers in the creative industries. The role includes pastoral care, well‑being, and student support.
We’re looking for an experienced hip‑hop professional with a specialism in hip‑hop, a proven track record of working within the creative industries, and with young people aged 16‑24. The candidate should be able to address barriers around accessing the arts and create inclusive theatre and events.
This position is based at Sadler’s Wells East and requires onsite involvement for events such as the Breakin’ Convention Festival.
