A SaaS product company is hiring a Lead AWS Engineer to take ownership of its cloud architecture and help improve the reliability, scalability and security of its platform. The role is hands-on with a strong focus on AWS engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, automation and infrastructure-as-code.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, covering VPCs, networking, IAM, security and monitoring
  • Re-architect parts of the AWS platform to improve performance, scalability and cost efficiency
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Work with serverless technologies and cloud-native components across the AWS ecosystem
  • Contribute to application delivery using CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
  • Develop distributed systems, APIs and data workflows in a cloud environment
  • Run technical evaluations, proofs of concept and architectural reviews
  • Support and guide engineers on AWS best practice and cloud standards
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch and IAM
  • Background in software engineering with any modern programming language (Node.js, Java, C#, Python or similar)
  • Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Knowledge of SQL databases, NoSQL data stores and data pipelines
  • Understanding of serverless computing, distributed systems and cloud-native patterns
  • Ability to document and communicate architectural decisions clearly
  • AWS certifications are an advantage

  • Candidates may come from roles such as: AWS Solutions Architect, Senior Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Technical Lead within a cloud or SaaS environment
