Location: Hereford (Remote working with travel into the office once a month). Due to urgent operational and security requirements, candidates must be able to attend the Hereford site within approximately two hours when required.
Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 plus nominal bonus

Job Responsibilities
- Own vulnerability and threat management across a large, multi-site estate using tools such as Qualys, CrowdStrike and AV platforms
- Act as the technical owner for core security tooling, ensuring effective deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement
- Monitor, investigate and resolve cyber security incidents, alerts and escalations in line with agreed service levels
- Strengthen OT security across factories and production environments, addressing one of the organisation’s highest risk areas
- Support internal and external audits, certifications and compliance activities, ensuring controls work in the real world
- Deliver security awareness, training sessions, monthly security updates and annual tabletop exercises
- Provide hands-on leadership on major IT, cloud, data/AI and OT/IT convergence projects
- Work closely with Group Cyber, IT Operations, Service Desk and third-party providers
- Maintain accurate documentation, contribute to the knowledge base and drive continual service improvement
- Provide out-of-hours support when required
Technology Environment
- AWS
- Active Directory, Microsoft Server, O365, Exchange Online
- Vulnerability management and endpoint protection platforms
- Windows and Linux
- WAN, Cisco LAN and WLAN
- OT and industrial environments
Proven hands-on experience as a cyber or infrastructure security engineer
- Direct experience running vulnerability management programmes and personally remediating findings
- Strong incident response experience, including investigation, containment and recovery
- Experience supporting audits, certifications or awareness programmes
- Hands-on cloud security experience, ideally AWS, including IAM, network controls and monitoring
- Practical experience securing Windows and Linux servers and endpoints
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including WAN, LAN and firewalls
- Experience operating security tooling day to day, not just overseeing suppliers
- Able to work independently, prioritise risk and make technical decisions
Nice to Have’s
- Manufacturing or OT security experience
- Security or cloud certifications such as CISSP or AWS
- PowerShell scripting
- Pen testing exposure
