IT Support & Administrator Apprentice

You’ll play a pivotal role within our Central Team in London, supporting projects across the UK and Ireland. Join our dynamic team and make a real difference!

The IT Support & Administrator Apprentice will support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and improvement of the organisation’s IT systems while gaining practical experience and formal training.

Working alongside the Madrid based IT team and UK based Business Support Team, the apprentice will assist with providing user support, carrying out routine IT administration tasks, provide first‑ and second‑line support to staff, maintain accurate records and contributing to IT projects.

This role is designed to develop technical skills, knowledge of IT systems, and an understanding of service delivery within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Support
  • Provide timely and effective support to users via company service desk systems, email, phone, and in person.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and maintain approved applications and hardware.
  • Escalate complex issues as needed, ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Systems Administration
  • Maintain user accounts, permissions, and security groups across systems such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other business applications.
  • Administer and monitor endpoints using device‑management tools (e. g., Intune, MDM solutions).
  • Maintain asset registers for hardware, software licences, and warranties.
  • Operational Support & Governance
  • Support IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and induction support.
  • Assist with monitoring system security alerts and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and create documentation, SOPs, and knowledge‑base articles for IT processes.
  • Support audits and contribute to ongoing improvements in IT controls and governance.
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to the delivery of IT infrastructure and system‑upgrade projects.
  • Support the rollout of new technologies and digital‑transformation initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations for improving service delivery, user experience, and system stability.

Essential Criteria

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willing to undertake the required training.
  • Willing to travel to project sites to provide support as required.
  • Strong interest in IT and technology, with a desire to learn and develop.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems (e. g., Microsoft Office, hardware, or networks).
  • Basic understanding of device configuration and management
  • Good problem-solving skills and a service delivery-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Criteria

  • Any previous work experience, study, or certifications related to IT.
  • Awareness of Microsoft 365 or similar systems
  • Understanding of basic IT support concepts.
  • Interest in cybersecurity or cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in Spanish
