As a Site Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to create a state-of-the-art cancer centre. Join our dynamic team and make a difference!

The Site Manager is to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites, as the point of reference for both workers and sub-contractors. The role holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of their area and for ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the latest drawings, specifications, and programme.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Build and develop the team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements.
  • Monitor and instruct subcontractor and direct workforce, identifying training requirements and ensuring only trained, competent and authorised persons are completing assigned tasks and operating equipment.
  • Identifying and communicating any delays on site to the senior management team.
  • Demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
  • Project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct with Supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the public.
  • Ensure that the different work sites are kept clean and organised.
  • Lead by example as a role model for company values and professional standards.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and ensure compliance by on-site team.
  • Drive the delivery of business and corporate plans in own areas of responsibility.
  • Manage delegated resources (e.g. budgets, equipment, and contracts) as appropriate, to ensure value for money.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • CSCS Card valid
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Construction/ Engineering) or equivalent
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in a similar role;
  • Experience in multi-million design and build contracts.
  • Skilled in both working within and leading project teams
  • Good numeracy skills and the ability to make mathematical calculations.
  • Advanced communication, listening and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills and experience.
  • Ability to assume responsibilities for decision making on site.
  • Well-developed teamwork skills.
  • Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
