As a Site Engineer - Mechanical & Electrical Apprentice, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to create a state-of-the-art cancer centre. Join our dynamic team and make a difference!
The Site Engineer - Mechanical & Electrical Apprentice will assist the M&E construction team to continue to work cross functionally and proactively to ensure that the engineering requirements of the project are met, operating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes and gaining on-the-job experience whilst improving your knowledge.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Understand project requirements and carry out tasks set by the supervisor/team manager.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
- Shadow experienced staff members, ask questions and assist wherever possible.
- Conduct research and collate data.
- Work in a collaborative way with all other stakeholders on the project.
- Support with analysing data sets and drafting reports according to specifications.
- Assist with delivering presentations to staff members and other stakeholders when required.
- Observe existing strategies and techniques and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Observe and follow health and safety guidelines.
- Participate in meetings and workshops when required.
- Take notes and share findings with management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with staff to foster professional values and build good relationships.
- Assist with checking technical designs and drawings for construction.
- Additional duties associated with the role as determined by the management.
Essential Criteria:
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 4 GCSE’s at grades A – D, including Mathematics and English.
- Willing to learn, to be creative and to work on their own initiative.
- Familiar with Microsoft packages: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Dependable and possess a positive attitude to work.
- Ability to communicate with a range of people both verbally and in writing.
- Eager to learn with a keen eye for detail especially in relation to numerical data.
- Good skills in prioritising and organising.
- Good time management and professionalism.
- Passion for self-learning and personal development.
