Our wonderful Year 1 teacher is heading overseas, which means we are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic educator to join our team. If you love working with energetic 5‑year‑olds and want to be part of a supportive teaching community starting Term 3 until the end of this school year, this is the role for you.

Being Catholic is not a requirement, we will gladly support you as you settle into our school community. As a highly multicultural school we are looking for an experienced educator who can thrive in a diverse and supportive environment. Strengths in Structured Literacy and Mathematics with a good understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum would be an advantage.

You’ll need to have a commitment to quality teaching and be a passionate and dedicated educator with strong interpersonal skills, a sense of humour, and the ability to be both an effective and empathetic teacher and person.

Sacred Heart School is an integrated Catholic primary school that offers education with a special character. Established in 1877 by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, the school is an integral part of Queen of Peace Parish. A special feature of our school is the care and concern evident amongst its members and the supportive atmosphere that prevails throughout our community.
