FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT SACO SCHOOL NUTRITION PROGRAM SACO MIDDLE SCHOOL Saco Middle School kitchen is looking for a Food Service Assistant to join our team, preparing and serving children nutritious and appealing meals! Prepare fruit and veggies, assist Cook/Manager with lunch prep and serving, assist with the Point of Sale system. Great hours for parents/guardians; work only when children are in school Competitive pay and benefits Weekends, holidays, school vacations off! Summer hours available if interested. Fun, rewarding work environment! Qualifications: School foodservice experience preferred but not required Current State of Maine Criminal History Records Check Knowledge/Skills: Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment Good organizational and communication skills Positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent customer service skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation Ability to properly and safely operate kitchen equipment Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed Ability to assist with putting away weekly deliveries and rotate inventory SCHOOL YEAR POSITION β 4 HRS PER DAY, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Please contact School Nutrition Program Director at smorrell@sacoschools.org if interested.
