We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at Sackville School. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal growth of our students, helping them thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
Contract and Salary

Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Work alongside teachers to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one, small group, and whole‑class support.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive attitudes to learning.
- Assist with classroom preparation and adapt resources as needed.
- Promote inclusion, wellbeing, and positive behaviour in line with school policies.
- Monitor progress and share feedback to aid planning and assessment.
- Support pupils' social and emotional development.
- Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips where required.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and encourage learners.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
