About Sackville School: Sackville is a thriving independent senior school (11-18) of 220 boys and girls. Contract type: Part Time 0.60 FTE, permanent.
Salary: Dependent on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging and inspiring lessons to pupils throughout the school to key stage 3, 4 and 5.
- Encourage pupils' learning and engender an enthusiasm for Food Technology.
- Set and mark classwork, homework, in-year assessments, end-of-year examinations, entrance examinations and scholarship assessments.
- Keep consistent records of pupils' progress and contribute to whole school data tracking.
- Take lead responsibility for a form group, including communication with the parents, monitoring progress, mentoring, report writing, planning and delivering appropriate and valuable form-time activities and assemblies in line with the guidance given by the Pastoral Leader.
- Attend parents' evenings for all classes taught.
- Prepare pupil reports inline with the school schedule and protocol.
Qualifications:
- Good honours degree in Food Technology or a similar subject.
- Qualifying as a Food Technology Teacher.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or a PGCE is an advantage.
- Teaching of specialist subject across all three key stages.
- Experience as an excellent classroom practitioner who can lead by example.
- Collaborative working practices developed and demonstrable, with the ability to manage change and work under pressure.
- An approachable and supportive disposition, so that pupils are confident their concerns will be heard and will receive sympathetic treatment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to sustain effective relationships on behalf of the school, both internally and externally.
