We are looking for an outstanding and dedicated Estates Maintenance Assistant to join our school, in Hildenborough, Kent. Sackville is a thriving independent senior school (11-18) of 220 boys and girls. Sackville offers an ambitious education that is individually tailored for each pupil to realise their potential. Contract Type: Full time, Permanent

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Start Date: July 2025

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Being a key holder
  • Ensuring the security and safety of the school site and grounds during school opening hours
  • Observing legislation regarding Health & Safety Regulations, Fire and Risk Assessment legislation and working alongside the Health & Safety Officer
  • Maintenance of all ground working equipment, tools, ladders, tractors, mowers, etc.
  • Managing requests for maintenance/repairs
  • Managing on-site contractors and ensuring that they are competent and compliant
  • Day to day maintenance of the School, sports hall, outbuildings and grounds

About You:

  • A basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing
  • Been driving for at least 2 years
  • Experience of opening/closing of the School/site [desirable]
  • Confident and capable of working both alone and as part of a team
