Job Description
Sacco Mann is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner to join a reputable law firm in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing a caseload of EL/PL portal claims, from initial review through to judgment and/ or settlement, ensuring compliance with portal processes and deadlines. The role involves handling all stages of the claims process, including reviewing initial information, preparing allegations, liaising with medical and legal experts, negotiating with insurers, valuing damages, and preparing court documentation. This is a dynamic role that requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple cases efficiently.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience handling EL/PL claims within a legal environment
- Strong understanding of portal claims procedures and stages 2 and 3 of EL/PL claims
- Experience in reviewing and preparing claims, damages, and schedules of damages
- IT literate with proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, experts, and insurers
- Team player with a positive attitude and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
