Transform biological datasets into safety intelligence for drug discovery.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Bioinformatician/Computational Biologist to join our team developing cutting‑edge target safety intelligence software. This role combines biological expertise with computational skills to help drive our platform's development and enhance our proprietary datasets.

What you’ll do

  • Identify, analyse and integrate biological datasets (e.g., clinical data, functional genomics, mechanistic data) to support target safety assessment.
  • Design and build computational pipelines for processing, validating, and analysing biomedical data for use in Sable platform models and features.
  • Develop and apply statistical or machine‑learning methods to quantify and prioritise biological risks.
  • Interpret results in a biological and translational context, with a focus on supporting drug discovery decision‑making.
  • Integrate analyses into Sable platform features, used directly by toxicologists and drug discovery scientists.
  • Contribute to a shared codebase alongside scientists and engineers, following good software and data‑engineering practices.

Requirements

We are looking for self‑motivated individuals who can take ownership of projects, with enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development.

  • PhD or MSc in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field or BSc with 3+ years of relevant experience applying computational methods to analyse biological data.
  • Strong Python programming skills and experience working with biological data.
  • Expertise in one or more relevant biomedical domains (e.g., patient‑level data, clinical data, or toxicology).
  • Experience translating high‑level scientific or product questions into clear technical deliverables.
  • Track record of independently scoping and driving projects from concept to delivery.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey scientific concepts and conclusions to multidisciplinary audiences.

Nice to have

  • Experience in product development or product‑focused environments.
  • Background in drug discovery, or toxicology and safety assessments.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Willingness to become our internal merch designer.

What we can offer

  • Company equity.
  • Hybrid working (home + office in Aldgate East).
  • Opportunity to shape the future of our company and grow as we grow.
  • Private medical plan.
  • Every Friday afternoon free for personal development.
