Job Overview:

Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting international students? Our Sable Guardians team is seeking a Student Support Area Co-ordinator in the Maidstone area to support our students across this specific geographical region. This role plays a key part in ensuring students receive high-quality pastoral and logistical support while studying away from home. Sable Guardians (Formally College Guardians) founded in 2010, provides educational guardianship services to international students attending boarding schools, colleges, and universities across the UK. We are accredited by AEGIS (Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students) and certified by the BSA. Sable Guardians offer a range of guardianship packages including host family sourcing and management, disbursement administration, parent meeting attendance, and ongoing guidance to students during their time studying in the UK.

Due to continued growth, we require Student Support Area Co-ordinators based in specific UK regions. You will be working remotely but as part of the wider Sable Guardian team ensuring that service delivery standards and SLAs are consistently met. This is a flexible, part-time position suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, relationship-building, and supporting young people in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arranging and conducting visits with students at schools, colleges, and universities, ensuring the Guardianship Manager is informed and SLAs are met.
  • Maintaining appropriate communication with parents, schools, and college staff.
  • Actively working with school admissions teams to promote Sable Guardians and support new student recruitment.
  • Attending parent meetings where parents are unable to travel from overseas.
  • Providing cover support when required, as agreed with the Guardianship Manager.
  • Coordinating host family recruitment within the region, including supporting local marketing efforts.
  • Ensuring host family placements and student transport arrangements are managed efficiently where required.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the Sable Guardians team to ensure high service standards.
  • Supporting the ongoing management and development of the CRM system.

General Requirements:

  • Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and related regulations, taking reasonable care for their own safety and that of others.
  • Cooperate with the organisation to ensure compliance with health and safety obligations.
  • Sable Guardians is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All employees must share this commitment and adhere to safeguarding legislation, including the Children Act 2004 (as amended) and Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025). Appropriate safeguarding training will be provided and is mandatory.

A mobile phone and laptop computer will be provided. Mileage for travel between the post holder’s home and schools, colleges, or universities will be reimbursed in line with company policy.

Please note: This is a part-time role with hours varying depending on the geographical area and number of students supported. Hours are predominantly worked during school term time, although flexibility is essential due to fluctuating demands. Evening and weekend work may be required. Additional hours may be required from time to time and must be agreed in advance with the Guardianship Manager. Approved additional hours will be paid on an overtime basis.
