Requirements

  • Excellent communication and strong customer relationship skills
  • Strong experience of Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of project accounting, e.g. cost control, revenue forecasting and project profitability
  • Experience of virtual project team management (e.g. matrix management across technical teams)
  • Experience of managing complex technical projects
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to explain issues clearly and in detail
  • Ability to develop operational relationships with the customer and demonstrate empathy and understanding
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders internally and externally
  • A strategic thinker with a future focus
  • Background in IT or the customer services/contact centre industry
  • Experience of working in a professional services or customer-facing role
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior members of the team
  • Leading by example and demonstrating high personal impact and best in class delivery skills (Desirable)
  • Proven project management experience within a professional services, consultancy or systems integrator environment (Desirable)
  • Current PRINCE2 (or equivalent) Waterfall and/or Agile Project Management Practitioner level accreditation

What the job involves

  • Reporting To: Gemma Thomas
  • Lead and manage projects through their entire project lifecycle, from understanding the solution to successful project planning, deployment, business/service acceptance and project completion
  • Manage multiple projects with high levels of complexity based on various technology applications and platforms
  • Strong focus on financial and commercial management, requiring a solid understanding of cost management processes
  • Appreciation and understanding of Benefits Management and Benefit Realisation to ensure client business cases are understood and realised
  • Maintain strong and frequent communication between the client and the Sabio project team during project delivery
  • Ensure that the agreed deployment schedule is met and that business acceptance and handover to Support is successful
  • Collate work packages, project plans and presentations in support of pre-sales activities by the commercial management teams
  • Build strong relationships with commercial teams to support future opportunity and growth within key accounts
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team building skills while managing and controlling project risks and costs
  • Report on project progress to the Sabio Programme Managers and support programme and business planning across Sabio
  • Contribute to the development of Sabio project and programme processes to respond to changing customer and business needs
